This stuff cracks me up. You *have* to check out the ManBabies website.
ManBabies inspired me this weekend.
Here is my first attempt, from the movie "The Hangover"...
Next up, I dug through some family photos...
I submitted both of these to ManBabies...we'll see if they get picked up.
I used Photoshop CS3 to do these.
This is a big week for gadget lovers with CES and MacWorld about to get started.
Here is the first cool new gadget I’ve heard about: Apple’s latest laptop adopts the iPod click wheel…
Apple Introduces Revolutionary New Laptop With No Keyboard
Check out this post about a new medical robot from Japan. The comments are pretty good, too. Wow.
Here is an iPhone window display in an AT&T store in Boston. The display is running on a Mac…that crashed.
That’s a Mac kernel panic, which is like a BSOD, except it doesn’t give you any information about why your computer locked up.
Here’s a Mac kernel panic caught on video…
This one is interesting…a Mac guy talking about working on a Mac…
I thought Macs didn’t crash! Where would I get that idea? Hmm…
Also, next time you visit an Apple Store, notice that they have no cash registers! Instead, employee’s have a wireless checkout device…that runs Windows.
Wow! Finally somebody has figured out how to outdo Apple when it comes to product packaging.
I may need to get this phone.
My last post before I do my SIGGRAPH brain dump.
Thanks to Spaghetti for the hook-up.
What do you think? Is it this one (The Ghost)...
... or this one (Star Trek)...
...or our third contender (Gymkata)...
Vote early and vote often!
This almost makes me want...to watch Star Wars again.
This is so outrageously wrong that it seems like a joke...but I think it may be real.
A new game called "Limbo of the Lost" blatantly uses content from several other games.
Here is an article comparing Limbo of the Lost to Oblivion.
Here is a thread of where people uncover more lifted content from other games and movies.
When tourist guy first hit the Internet, parodies soon followed.
And let the parodies of "Limbo of the Lost" begin!
My favorite is Zork...
Is anybody going to do anything about the mayhem in Liberty City?!?!? The police don't seem to care. Read this article that perfectly articulates the issues of the sudden rise of murders...830,000 people or one tenth the population since April 28th!
The Police Squad! intro, recreated in GTA4. Big ups to my bro for this.
For comparison, here's what the original intro looked like in the Naked Gun movie.
I probably started nuking the fridge when I started using twitter.
Give this a try...
This is pretty good (thanks for the hook up Alan!)...
I grew up with the Muppets...I love 'em. I got this at work today...some outtakes from the Muppet Show...never seen anything like this before...
BigDog is certainly an impressive robot. If you haven't seen it, you should first check out the latest video.
Here is a video that shows an earlier version of BigDog...
This is pretty good. The group is called Improv Everywhere. I've heard about the Best Buy prank before, but I had not seen this one, Frozen Grand Central Station:
This is just rude...but it is funny because it is to telemarketers. Here is a funny sample from Jim Florentine Terrorizing Telemarketers.
Here's a slick utility that will clean your screen...best when run full screen. Get it here.
Thanks to Bonnie for the hook-up!
Conan did a spot at ILM/Lucasfilm this past May when he was in San Francisco for a week doing his show. If you haven't seen it, you should.
The video was up on Youtube for a little while, but was quickly yanked.
NBC has the video, but you have to pick the clip you want to watch (I can't link to a clip...grrrr).
Go here and select "Lucasfilm Part 1 (5/1/07)" and "Lucasfilm Part 2 (5/1/07)".
Here are mine:
Bud Light: Jackie Moon
E*Trade: Banking Baby II
Coca-Cola: It's Mine
Audi: Horse Head
Not sure how I missed this part the first 50 times I watched it...
Thanks Trey (via Louis...thanks Louis!).
Here is a video clip of the X-Wing taking off...
No surprise that conspiracy theories abound for what went wrong. This one is probably the closest to the truth...
Best movie series of all time...Star Wars or Lord of the Rings?
STAR WARS!!! ...until I hear Lord of the Rings Trumpet.
Technorati Tags: Star Wars, Star Wars TrumpetFor your viewing pleasure, I present the final scene from "Turkish Star Wars."
Technorati Tags: Star Wars, Turkish Star WarsStart here with the original video posted on youtube...
...then watch the Internet phenom Tay Zonday on Jimmy Kimmel last week...
Now that you have Chocolate Rain on the brain, finish with Chad Vader's version...
Isn't the Internet delightful?
Sometimes I get asked why I work so hard on video games. I think I speak for many in my field...we do it for the kids. There is nothing like seeing a child completely immersed in a world you helped create. When you see the joy on their faces...that makes it all worth it.
This is sooo painful...but so much fun! Watch Tara as she realizes she is not as popular as she used to be (with a guest appearance by Paris Hilton). Thanks to my bro for the hookup.
I never get sick of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. Here he is at the Tony Awards...
The hits just keep coming from E-dog...
This is a bit crude, so don't play this at work.
This clip is from the 2007 MTV Movie Awards...Sarah vs. Paris. I'm all about Sarah Silverman these days...I think she is hilarious...and easy on the eyes. I started watching her show, The Sarah Silverman Program via Xbox Live Marketplace this weekend...good stuff!
If you haven't seen her roast of Pam Anderson, it is worth a viewing...
I heard that Robot Chicken was doing a special Star Wars episode June 17th on Comedy Central Cartoon Network, so I wanted to see what it was about. I had never seen Robot Chicken before...but I like what I've seen so far.
I don't get Comedy Central Cartoon Network, but I see that Xbox Live Marketplace carries it...I may have to pick up some episodes.
This is...interesting. It is the Chinese DVD version of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, with the English subtitles on. Call me crazy...but I actually prefer this version.
I dare you to watch this and not have the theme music stuck in your head.
If you haven't seen this yet...you will. Might as well get it out of the way and see it here.
Here is some background on the clip. 7 million viewers in 24 hours ain't bad.
They made this video for round 3 of the playoffs last year. I saw it again last night at the Suns game. Dirk made the last shot of the game to win 101-99.
How does a diminutive coach like Avery Johnson demand respect from his players? He punches them in the balls if they aren't paying attention! Josh Howard will learn one of these days! This is from the end of the game 7 vs. the San Antonio Spurs.
I saw this for the first time on the big screens at the American Airlines Center for Round 2, Game 3. Glad it is online so everybody can see it. It is a spoof of Raiders of the Lost Ark with Mav's coach Avery Johnson and perennial Maverick-hater Charles Barkley.
This is titled "Worst Halftime Show Ever", but I think they have it all wrong. If these guys did every Super Bowl halftime show going forward, I think it would dwarf the game and the commercials in terms of popularity. I know I would tune in just to see what these guys are going to do next.
I especially like the guy with the shruken head from Beetlejuice. You can tell he is no newb when it comes to show business. When he detects things are going a little bit slow, he busts out from the line and becomes a whirling dervish! You can't teach that! This is another one of those videos I *never* get tired of watching. It gets better with age. Enjoy!
Here is a link to the video...a must-see if you don't know what "more cowbell" means!
This sketch from Saturday Night Live originally aired April 8th, 2000. It features Will Ferrell and Chistopher Walken in a spoof of VH-1's "Behind the Music". This is my favorite bit from SNL in the last 6 years. To commemorate this, I proudly wear my "More Cowbell" t-shirt.The more I watch this, the more I laugh. This video is a battle of the web browser icons: Microsoft's Internet Explorer vs. Netscape's Navigator vs. Apple's Safari vs. Mozilla's Firefox.
I know this is supposed to make Internet Explorer look bad...but I think it makes IE look like the most fun out of the group. I'd love to add a happy face to IE's icon that yells "WHEE!!!" every time I open a new page.
See this entry for my thoughts on the best web browser.
Thanks to my bro Sean for pointing this out.
